Bio

Abby (pronouns: she/her/they/them) was born in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Their military upbringing and childhood consisted of moving to different states along the east coast every few years. As a young adult, Abby lived in Chicago, Illinois and attended City Colleges of Chicago at the Harold Washington College campus where she received an Associate in Fine Arts in 2018. Abby transferred to Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design where they graduated in 2020 and majored in New Studio Practices and minored in Arts Management. In 2023, Abby earned a Master of Arts in Art History from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, with a specialization in pre-Columbian and Indigenous art and sculpture.

Abby has held several curatorial intern positions at local private galleries and nonprofit organizations, including Gallery 2o7, The Warehouse MKE, Walker’s Point Center for the Arts, The Emile H. Mathis Art Gallery, and the Milwaukee Art Museum. They also have experience as a Teaching Assistant and Sculpture Lab Technician Assistant at MIAD.
